Video: This is why Andrew Luck is going to be the No. 1 pick, and you're not

Coaches and scouts constantly preach to young quarterbacks the importance of footwork, balance and not trying to force a ball downfield under pressure. Sound advice. But if you have the arm to put the ball where Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck put it in the process of going to his knees on this play-action heave at Arizona State Saturday night, screw the fundamentals:

Exceptionally named Cardinal blog Rule of Tree has the frame-by-frame breakdown. Budding passers should not attempt to replicate it, because they do not have Luck's arm, are not projected to go as the No. 1 overall pick in April's draft and will only put their team at unnecessary risk of a debilitating turnover. But to the half dozen or so of you who can replicate it, man, start clearing a path for the Brink's truck.
